Ranks in Hanwha are determined not by seniority
and years in service but by job value.

Hanwha applies advanced HR system focusing on job values where the ranks of
employees are determined based on competency, performance and job values of
the employees, which is different from the past when the ranks were determined
based on years of service.

At Hanwha, employees can be promoted when their performance and capabilities
are verified at the current job position or the value of current position increases.
Hanwha evaluates capabilities, performance and growth potential of employees
through a fair and thorough procedure.

We run a fast-track system under which employees with excellent capabilities and
performance are provided with early promotion opportunities to provide more
growth opportunities to excellent talents.
In addition, Hanwha reshaped the reward structure to be more performance based
one to encourage employees to challenge themselves and achieve objectives
(increased performance-based bonus in addition to basic salary). We added Spot
Bonus system for excellent talents.

A true happiness of a family starts from happiness of a mom.

Hanwha Group considers that the welfare system for childbirth and nurturing
child is important and runs various welfare programs related to female
employees with the highest priority.
We encourage employees to be pregnant and give birth to a child by supporting
cost of infertility treatment and procedures and support health childbirth by
providing shortened working hours and Hanwha mom’s package which is
composed of items necessary during pregnancy and childbearing.

Hanwha runs programs such as selective working hours system, daycare center
at workplace and nursing room to make employees take care of their children
while working. In addition we support happiness and safety of families by
providing child caring leave before and after a child enters elementary school
and designating the day of family.

Hanwha Group believes that a true welfare system considers not only
employees but also their families.

Accordingly, Hanwha introduced ‘refreshing vacation system’ for up to 10 days so
that employees can have time together with their family while they are busy with work.
To promote the use of vacation, we provide employee benefits for a true refreshing
vacation by offering services and leisure facilities held by the group such as Hanwha
Resort
at discounted price for employees or providing welfare points.

Each affiliate designates ‘Family Day’ on a specific day of the week to create an
atmosphere that promtoes work life balance and make sure that employees
can build good memories with their family and friends with the
‘evening with private life’.
